10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. plus a bonus 30 minute meet and greet with Gale for registered participants only.
What do we love almost as much as knitting? Showing and telling about our projects!
In this two hour workshop, professional knitwear photographer Gale Zucker will lead you through creating and editing gorgeous photos with your phone, making images that tell the story of your knitting beautifully.
In the first part we will cover tips and tricks for using your phone camera optimally, planning your photo, composition, choosing backgrounds, lighting, and posing. We will look at inspirational photos, share ideas and make some photos hands-on, to try ideas out right away.
Our second part will focus on In Phone Photo Editing of images, adding the touch-up magic that makes images truly glow. Gale will live demo photo editing using a powerful and friendly app, available for both IOS and Android. There will be time for Q&A.
Participants will leave class confident in creating strong visuals for sharing their projects, for social media and anywhere else. The class is for everyone – and especially helpful for anyone selling their work, or patterns ,or test knitting.

About Gale Zucker
Gale Zucker is a commercial photographer with a specialty of yarn industry, knitwear and handmade fashion.
She photographs for yarn companies, books, businesses, brands and designers. She is the photographer of 20+ book titles and proud of co-authoring three knitting/craft books: DROP DEAD EASY KNITS , CRAFT ACTIVISM and SHEAR SPIRIT , all from Random House/Clarkson Potter.
Gale started her career as a photojournalist, on assignment for The New York Times and major magazines. As a lifelong knitter and maker, she delights in bringing the narrative power of photography to fiber and design subjects.
Since 2009 Gale has been teaching Photography for Knitters and Makers Workshops at tradeshows, festivals, events, shops and guilds across the country.
